INDEX Function in Microsoft Excel
The Microsoft Excel INDEX function returns a value in a table based on the intersection of a row and column position within that table. The first row in the table is row 1 and the first column in the table is column 1.
The INDEX function is a built-in function in Excel that is categorized as a Lookup/Reference Function. It can be used as a worksheet function in Excel. As a worksheet function, the INDEX function can be entered as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
